Thoughts on I, Robot

-English class is a bitch.

-You know what would've made this movie much better? Cutting out Will Smith's one-liners and Bridget Moynahan's bad acting, that whole subplot, and just make it about Sonny's emotional awakening, his life with James Cromwell and starting a robot revolution. He's a fucking battle robot, guys. I want that movie.

His one liners are too much in this movie. Seriously it could be just a lil less. I agree with the battle robot movie. I'd like to see that one!

*WACHOOO* oh, I'm sorry, I'm allergic to bullshit.

Could we at least keep that one?

Moynahan's acting was rather horrible in this, but I still find this movie entertaining enough to watch it if I see it's playing on TV.

Melanie: Crappy one liners make me angry.

Sugary: No. Maybe. Figure out a way Sonny can say it.

Red: *sigh* okay...

This is the third adaptation of "I, Robot" (two were episodes of "The Outer Limits"), that completely...COMPLETELY...ignored Asimov's fine novel, and just went with the "Robot Rules." I believe this was written by Akiva Goldsman, which guarantees suckage. This movie should be tossed into the trash compacter, and cubed, the way they trashed IA's concepts. And what REALLY infuriates me about it is it just delays a PROPER adaptation because the stink of this one has such a long half-life.

I like Moynahan, but, yeah, she was bad in this.

Haha. I almost bought this movie for $1.99. Legit.

Also, even though it's based on an older novel, you have to give me something really different in the post-Matrix and post-Terminator world.

The worst Will Smith one liner ever, in my opinion, is in Independence Day. "Welcome to Ert'!" (punches alien)

Yojimbo: Except the epic Sonny moments, which should be preserved out of context forever. But yes. I dedicate my life to giving this a proper adaption. At least a short film.

Franz: I trust your reason won over?

Vance: Truly.
