True story: thanks to Casey Affleck saying that in the Times today, I made $50 off a pool amongst some friends of mine.

Of course it was, Phoenix is too good an actor to just quit the biz. Now give him a hundred Oscars.
Big sigh of relief there. I hope it's for real this time.
That makes Phoenix's role in the documentary more impressive. He could have risked destroying his career and instead made an excellent satire of the American media system.
