Couldn't have said it better myself.
I had to watch it twice in one semester in high school, once for film class and then again for my World War II history class, it just about did me in (and my tear ducts)
It's more than a little like that. My better half wants to see it, but I always put it off because... well, it's heavy stuff, in a very good, very perfect way (perhaps Spielberg's finest film), but it's still something it takes a great deal of pysching-up to rewatch.
I have it on DVD and I'd say I've watched it at least 15 times or so, it's a great film, one of Spielberg's best.
