Thoughts on Bart Got a Room

Sunday, November 28, 2010 10:24 AM By Simon

-With prom around the corner, a teenager struggles to find a date, doing everything to avoid going with his best friend (Alia Shawkat), on top of dealing with his parents' respective love lives (Cheryl Hines and William H. Macy's pubic-hair wig). Making his increasingly desperate measures more painful is the knowledge that the biggest nerd/loser/asshole/whatever in school, Bart, uh, got a room. Nothing is better than William H. Macy's horrified look upon discovering this.

-A low-key mix of Napolean Dynamite, various teenage coming-of-age movies, and that thing with that guy.

-Fucking Florida.

It was nice, small, and cute. Nobody get's hurt and the performances at least did convey some sort of emotion with the writing.

Eh, didn't like this one too much. Just couldn't connect with the humour.

Yo Florida is da shiz! Teehee. I haven't seen this but I'm going to watch it because...your review makes it sound enticing. :P

CMrok93: Indeed. Except I'd argue that the dry rat that donated William H. Macy's wig must be smarting.

Atroxion: It's that uncomfortable Napolean Dynamite humor, yeah.

Robert: Hazzah! Conversion!
