Thoughts on The Kids Are All Right
-Holy shit, I had to see this with my grandmother.
-A lovely film, not really my speed (I tend to loathe the family dramedy as a general rule), but pleasent enough cast (like, go Annette Bening) (Mia Wasikowska impresses me with her accent, though she didn't say anything very strenuous), some really funnyawkward scenes (why do lesbians watch gay porn?), I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again, but you could have a worse weekend.
-Oh, Hollywood. Falling into the old trap of lesbians-dig-Mark-Ruffalo? Tsk.
-So, did they just drop him? That's cold.

I think we're supposed to assume that maybe after some time away, the daughter will at least re-connect with him since she brought along his hat to college and all. The son will also probably try to contact him again and hopefully by then Ruffalo's character is a bit more settled with someone so he doesn't feel the need to be a slutty homewrecker. Heh.
Hello? Spoiler alert folks? I still can't wait to see this, I still can't believe I haven't seen this.
Ack! Sorry Andrew! I'm usually good with spoiler alerts and/or posting ambiguous-enough comments.
Gay porn scene with your grandmother...this is why we blog.
Interesting news today about a completely different (and better) ending in the original script. I think you'll find it interesting:

SPOILER? Yes.
Hahah! What's your grandmama's take on the sex scenes between Moore and Ruffalo? I don't know why but I felt uncomfortable even though I didn't watch it with anybody I knew. Maybe because Moore was a convincing lesbian or something.
