Looks Like...
Madonna's sophomore effort, 'W.E', will be taking a cue from Sophia Coppola and including Sex Pistols songs during period scenes. I hope you're happy, Madonna. I'm now interested. You bitch.
Also, lookss like the guy who directed my beloved Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist might be directing my favorite comic ever, The Runaways, into feature-film glory. Except, Joss Whedon is also up for it. Oh, what a bind. Can't they co-direct?
Saoirse Ronan and Carey Mulligan are both up for 'Violet and Daisy', says Hollywood 411, via Empire, blends 'the girl empowerment aspects of Thelma And Louise with elements of Superbad and Pulp Fiction'. So, holy shit, this must be made. This must happen.
EDIT: Looks like Steven Soderbergh's top secret film, made during his tenure at the Sidney Theatre Company directing 'Tot Mom', has a name and description. 'The Last Time I Saw Michael Gregg'. It centers around 'a theater owning couple named Lottie and Ned, played by Essie Davis and Rhys Muldoon, who are described as "a stylish blonde and a writer who is adapting a Chekhov play" and is likely inspired by the Sydney Theatre Company's owners, Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton'(via)
And now, The Happy Mondays.
