I think this is, without exaggeration, one of my favorite movies ever. I've purchased enough DVD's and merchandise from Hertzfeldt's Bitter Film's website over the years to keep him in business single-handedly. I saw Rejected at his traveling animation show in 2002 and laughed at it straight through the next short, a moving father and daughter watercolor story. I was bent over, trying not to ruin the show for everybody else, snorting and shaking with laughter saying "My anus is bleeding!" to myself. I must've shown this to fifty people since.

Try to get a hold of some of his follow up work, especially "Everything Will Be OK" and "I Am So Proud of You" He's grown into an incredible artist.

I've been looking to do a piece on this at my page.
