Since all the cool blogs are doing a 2009 Oscar retrospective, and I want nothing but to be popular, I shall do my own. Hazzah!

And, because we all know I'm a lazy asshole, I'm only looking at the big 7 (I count Best Adapted and Best Song as things, thankyouverymuch). I also do not count supporting because this year it's painfully easy.

Bigelow. Maybe Cameron, if the Academy actually enjoys "I'm King Of The World!" being screamed in Na'vi.

Bieglow. Good for you, sister.
Or, Quentin Tarantino, because you won the war for us, buddy. Yay Jewish vengeance!

A toss-up, again, between The Hurt Locker and Avatar.

WHO SHOULD WIN
Inglourious Basterds. Or The Hurt Locker. Mostly Basterds. One can always hope that the divide between Avatar and Locker.
